Caring For Marble And Natural Stone Objects
Many people love the luxurious look and feel that marble brings to any space. When you bring a piece of marble or natural stone into your home, you gain a beautiful piece of decor that will last the test of time if cared for correctly.

Routine Cleaning
Marble should be cleaned regularly using a soft cloth, warm water, and a very small amount of mild pH-neutral detergent such as dishwashing liquid. Don’t scrub or you may damage the surface of the stone, just dab the object gently and lightly.
It’s important to know that as a natural product, marble is porous, which means it will absorb tiny amounts of liquids it comes into contact with. So keep strong products like vinegar or bleach and acidic products like lemon far away from your marble - the chemicals will leak into the stone and damage it.
Stains & Scratches
While marble is a hard stone, it will scratch if rubbed with something abrasive. When cleaning your stone, use a soft cloth such as microfibre and avoid scrubbing hard.
As for stains, due to the porous nature of stone your marble will stain if liquids are not wiped away as soon as possible. If a spill happens, resist the urge to wipe in a circular motion - it will only spread the stain.
Instead, blot the area to remove as much liquid as you can. Then flush the area with clean water and blot once again with a clean cloth. Use an absorbent cloth as it will draw out the staining liquid from the stone.
Think of marble as more stain-resistant than stain-proof. Fresh fruits and vegetables such as strawberries, raspberries and watermelon, coffee, wine, and other highly pigmented liquids may still leave a light stain even if you are quick with the cloth. So keeping your objects out of harm’s way is a good way to ensure accidents won’t compromise the ‘perfect imperfection’ of your stone pieces.
Shipping & Returns
Shipping policy:
All orders will be dispatched within 2-4 business days of your order being placed.
Please expect slightly longer dispatch and shipping times during peak periods.
All orders will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking once dispatched warehouse.
DELIVERY RATES
Standard shipping is a flat rate of $15 or FREE for orders over $300 (4-14 days depending on destination)
Express shipping is a flat rate of $45 (1-3 days)
Please note these delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed, they will depend on the destination.
Once the parcel is dispatched and picked up by carrier, the delivery time will be provided by them. This means that the delivery timeframe will be out of our control. However, if you ever need assistance or have any questions about the delivery status, we're here to help. Feel free to reach out to us, and we'll be happy to follow it up on your behalf.
Refund policy:
In order to avoid any disappointment, A'Object encourages a considered purchase. Please take the time to ensure your A'Object piece will find place in your home, forever. We hope that you are happy with your order, but if for some reason you are not, you may exercise your right to return within one working days from the date of signed delivery.
Please note that as our Exclusive Range consists of made-to-order pieces, all sales are final, and we do not accept returns or exchanges on these products.
Each piece has been carefully checked for quality assurance purposes, boxed and ready for shipment. We create condition reports for all our objects upon pickup and delivery, and every shipment is completely insured against damage. Buyers are required to check items immediately upon receipt.
We offer returns on full price items only, subject to the following conditions:
- The item is returned within 1 day of receiving your order after signed delivery. Failure to request a return & return the item within 1 day, will void the process of a return.
- All original tags or stickers should be still attached
- Item is in original condition and is packed in original A'Object packaging and well protected. A'Object does not accept responsibility for damages incurred in return transit.
- Return shipping costs are at the expense of the customer and A'Object cannot be held liable for return parcels that are lost or damaged during return transit.
- Please use a trackable shipping service to avoid any complications.
- A Return request is to be authorised by the A'Object team. A return may not be authorised if we believe the pieces have been used for staging or loan purposes.
- AfterPay purchases are not eligible for return or exchange.
- Please note that we cannot accept refunds on discounted purchased items during a form sale.
Return Request
To request a return, please email us on info@aobject.com.au as soon as possible, after receiving your order with the below information:
- Order Number
- Date of Purchase
- Reason for return and any supporting images if claiming damaged items
Our customer care team will be in touch to approve the return, provide you with guidance regarding the return information & shipping instructions.
Refunds
A full refund will be provided subject to meeting the A'Object return policy. Subject to return authorisation, once we receive your return, your refund will be applied via the original payment method minus original shipping cost.
Please allow 3-10 business days for the refund to appear on your bank statement.
If goods returned are not in a re-sellable condition, A'Object will not accept the return.
You will be notified if the returned products cannot be accepted. In this case, you may choose to have the products delivered again to you at your expenses. If you refuse the above delivery, A'Object reserves the right to retain the products and the amount paid for your purchase of the products.
Pre-orders
Pre-orders are unable to be cancelled prior to receiving your order. Products purchased on pre-order are no different to other items. Full price Pre-ordered pieces are eligible for a refund subject to meeting the guidelines in the return policy after being delivered to you.
Please note that sales of pre-ordered products from our exclusive range are considered final and non-refundable.
Damaged Items
If an item arrives damaged, please contact info@aobject.com.au to submit a damaged goods claim. This claim is to be lodged within 24 hours of receiving the item/s.
Please provide us with below information:
- Order Number
- Date of Purchase
- Items damaged
- Supporting images of the damaged box and item
Please note that all claims are handled on a case-by-case basis and insufficient evidence may result in your claim being rejected.
